David Frank
I am a native Oregonian, having graduated from Gladstone HS in 1980. I spent 20 years in the SF Bay Area – and am a lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants (“best team in pro ball”). As a teacher, I love seeing students evolve through the year and from year to year – and it is always a joy to see them return to Central Catholic after college. I am also the Boys' Cross Country head coach. Since 2003, our cross country team has finished in the top two at the State Meet every year except 2004 (4th), with five titles (2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009) and two runner-up finishes (2008, 2010).

Galen Rupp's Other Coach, Dave Frank Achieves Success, Finds Contentment by David Hunter
Dave Frank, aka Frankie was a fine steeple chaser at Stanford University in the 1980s, running 8:38 for the steeple. I am not sure when I met him, I do believe it was in the early 1990s, when I returned, once again to the Bay Area.
